PRIVATE LANDOWNERS

Landowners looking to build a new home on a vacant lot, or simply add an addition to an existing home will require municipal tree removal permitting (if trees are present on the property). Canopy has a significant amount of experience assisting landowners with all aspects of environmental approvals.

MUNICIPALITIES

Canopy's Certified Arborist has assisted municipalities with tree-related studies for publicly owned properties where construction is proposed. Typical projects include road widening, highway extension, underground utility installation, bridge construction/rehabilitation and construction of trails, parks and other greenspaces.

LAND DEVELOPERS

Land developers typically require an Arborist Report/Tree Preservation Plan when submitting a land development application to a municipality. Canopy has worked on both re-zoning and site plan approval applications to assist with tree removal approvals. Whether the development requires the removal of just a few trees or woodland, Canopy can help.
ENGINEERS / PLANNERS

Engineers and Planners are key parts of a land development project team. It is common for these team member to seek an Environmental Consultant to provide their expertise on assessing the existing environmental conditions of a property. Engineers also require consultants such as an Arborist to join their project team when bidding on Municipal RFPs (Request For Proposals).
